Incident Details:
Firefighter Damon Thompson and Firefighter Brenna Kulikowski were returning to their station in a Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District ambulance after leaving a hospital from an interfacility transport.
While on State Route 260, another vehicle traveling in the other direction collided head-on with the ambulance. Firefighter Thompson and Firefighter Kulikowski were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle also passed away from the injuries sustained in the collision. Investigation into the incident continues.
